Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are at the heart of VNA’s programs and services and VNA’s volunteers are among the very best!

Whether you are searching for an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others or looking for professional development in your health care career, VNA has many opportunities to volunteer your time and talents for the good of others.

Visiting Nurse Association’s hospice volunteers are nationally recognized for their excellence in service and commitment to care and compassion. They have received prestigious national, regional, and local awards and honors including Visiting Nurse Associations of America’s Outstanding Service Award in 2006, 2007, and 2010 and the St. Louis Rams’ Quarterback Volunteer of the Year Award for four consecutive years.

Our Hospice Care program is also pleased to include four-legged friends among its volunteers. Dogs and cats like to volunteer their time and are welcome visitors in many homes and nursing homes through the “Love on a Leash” program.
