Medicare is considering a new rule (FY2020 Hospice Wage Index Proposal) that would reduce the amount of funds hospice providers use to care for those at the end of life. This proposal could have a tremendous impact on our hospice agency, and other hospice providers around the nation. The Visiting Nurse Association of Greater St. Louis advocates against this proposal and has forwarded comments to the Center of Medicare and Medicaid Services.
