VNA has an Community Outreach Educational Program to provide support to the community on many healthcare topics such as advanced illness management and end of life care.
The Alzheimer’s Association has a Faith Outreach Program to help educate and support individuals that have Alzheimer’s or dementia and their families because these individuals often reach out to their faith for support.
On Saturday, August 20, 2016, VNA and Continuum Care were invited to co-present to the Alzheimer’s Association Faith Forum on options for care in the home for those living with Alzheimer’s Disease.
The educational presentation on care in the home spurred a good interactive discussion.The event was a success with a good attendance of faith ambassadors from different churches in the St. Louis community.
