Volunteer Spotlight: Amanda Towson

A warm smile that brings comfort to everyone…

Amanda has been an administrative volunteer for Visiting Nurse Association since January of 2015 and volunteers once a week. As a volunteer, she handles the switchboard, greets visitors and works on multiple projects. Her enthusiasm and ability to handle multiple tasks make her ideal for this critical position.

Working in hospice can often be emotionally draining, but Amanda’s cheerful and positive energy is contagious and that encourages our team to deliver superior care. Furthermore, she is often the first contact to people inquiring about VNA services, so her positive outlook and commitment enables her to ensure their needs are addressed.

She is a very caring and thoughtful person, and for those that have a regular sweet-tooth, she brings treats for the staff and fills the candy jar for visitors frequently!

Amanda is married and has two children 10 year old, Luke and 15, year old Abby.
