VNA Appoints Four New Board Members


Visiting Nurse Association of Greater St. Louis has announced the appointment of four new board members: Dr. Russell Won, MD; Jessica Portis; Barbara Turkington; and, Louise Probst.

Dr. Won is a general practitioner who has been a physician for 36 years. He is a founding member of the Southside Physician Hospital organization.

Ms. Portis is an investment and financial professional with a background in both traditional and alternative investment strategies used by institutional investors. Ms. Portis is a partner with Mercer, a leading St. Louis-based investment firm.

Ms. Turkington, recognized for her executive leadership and marketing skills, is the Assistant Director for Advancement at St. Louis County Library. Previously, she was the Executive Director at Oasis. Turkington also had a distinguished 20-year military career having served as a Lt. Colonel in the United States Air Force.

Ms. Probst is the Executive Director for St. Louis Area Business Health Coalition, a position she’s held since 2003. Her entire career has been in healthcare, beginning as an ICU RN and Nurse Manager at various hospitals in the U.S.
