Our physician team has many years of clinical experience, serving St. Louis people in a variety of ways. Get to know our medical team by reading their biographies.
Dr. Mary Fox | Chief Medical Officer; Advanced Illness Management (Palliative Care) Program Clinical Physician

Dr. Fox received her medical degree from the University of Missouri - Columbia and completed her residency at Duke University Medical Center at the Duke-Watts Family Medicine Program.
Dr. Fox has had a long medical career, working in various areas, such as family care, urgent care and pain management. In the past, she has served as the chairperson for the Nursing Service Committee, Infectious Disease Committee, and as a member of Obstetrics and Gynecology Care Review Committee.
Her volunteering experiences include working as a physician volunteer at Grace Hill Health Center and Ranken Neighborhood Health Center, where she also served as a Medical Director. Dr. Fox was also a preceptor at St. Louis University Medical School’s Department of Family and Community Medicine.
Bob Hill, MD | Advanced Illness Management (Palliative Care) Program Clinical Physician

Dr. Hill received a BS in Biology & Chemistry from St. Louis University, studied medicine at Abraham Lincoln College of Medicine, University of Illinois and completed an internship at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center along with a residency in Internal Medicine at St. Louis University Hospitals.
Dr. Hill’s board certifications are in Internal and Geriatric Medicine.
During his career, Dr. Hill has worked as Senior Assistant Surgeon for the US Public Health Service, at the National Health Service Corporation in Cherokee, Alabama, St. Louis University Hospital, Deaconess Medical Center as Chief of Internal Medicine, Southwest Medical Center as a Physician, St. Anthony's Physician Organization as a Physician, and the Visiting Nurse Association as the Clinical Physician in Advanced Illness Management (AIM) Program.
He is a part of the American Medical Association and American College of Physicians.
Outside of his professional life, he also serves the community on the Medical Advisory Board at Grace Hill Community Health Centers and was the Medical Director at St. Louis Altenheim. Dr. Hill is a past Board member of Visiting Nurse Association of Greater St. Louis, where he served as Chair of the Patient Services Committee.
Stephanie Gabathuler, MD | Advanced Illness Management (Palliative Care) Program Clinical Physician & Chief Medical Officer Designee
Dr. Gabathuler will be joining VNA as Clinical Physician for the Advanced Illness Management Program and Chief Medical Officer Designee on September 6, 2023.
Dr. Gabathuler received a BA from College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. Her medical degree is from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in Richmond Virginia. She completed her residency from the Virigina Commonwealth University: Fairfax Family Practice Residency, Fairfax, Virginia. She completed Palliative Care and Hospice Fellowship from Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri.
Dr. Gabathuler’s certification is in Family Medicine.
In 2014 Dr. Gabathuler was employed by Unity Health Care in the District of Colombia as a Family Practice Physician-Outpatient. In addition, she worked at the Department of Corrections: Correctional Treatment Facility as a Family Practice physician and was head of the infirmary.
From 2019 - 2023 she joined the BJC Medical Group, Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Illinois, as a Hospitalist – Adult Medicine. She was also employed as the Associate Hospice Medical Director for BJC Home Care.
In addition, in 2020 she held the position of Interim Medical Director for Memorial Care Center Short-Term Rehabilitation Facility in Belleville, Illinois.
Dr. Gabathuler taught English as a Foreign Language in Prague, Czech Republic from 2004-2005.
In 2005 she worked as the Assistant Manager – Feeding Department for the American Red Cross, Hurricane Katrina Disaster Relief, in Gulfport, MS.
Zinnat P. Meghjee, DO | Hospice Medical Director

Dr. Meghjee received a Doctorate of Osteopathy from the University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, MO. Her residency is in Internal Medicine was completed at Deaconess Hospital in St. Louis.
Dr. Meghjee is Board certified in Internal Medicine.
Dr. Meghjee has over 30 years of experience in internal medicine. Previous to working with VNA, she has worked for the BJC Medical Group, Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital, BJC Health Center in Fairview Heights, IL, the Olive Family Medical Center and the Weber Medical Clinic.
She joined VNA as the Hospice Medical Director as of July 8, 2020.
