VOLUNTEER
HOSPICE
Volunteers are the very heart of VNA hospice. Experience is not required, just a compassionate attitude and a willingness to help make a difference.
We are searching for volunteers to serve in the following areas:
- Friendly Visitor -- Visit and spend time with a patient who needs support and companionship.
- Clerical -- Assist in various office duties such as preparing mailings, filing, and answering phones.
- Crafts – Sew, knit, or crochet lap blankets or craft seasonal items for patients.
- Notary Services -- Notarize documents for homebound patients.
- Massage Therapy -- Provide massages to patients and families.
- Special Projects -- Assist with annual or short-term projects such as fundraising, events, or recruitment.
- Music Therapy -- Provide calming and peaceful music to patients by playing a musical instrument or singing.
We currently serve patients in:
- St. Louis City/County
- St. Charles County
- Jefferson County
- Franklin County
Volunteers are provided with orientation/training and supervision and support on an ongoing basis.
