Over 100 million doses are projected to be available this season produced by 5 vaccine manufacturers. The formulation includes 3 new strains, a rare occurrence. Seasonal flu vaccines do not protect against avian flu, which is caused by different viral strains.

Flu Vaccinations for Infants Age 6 to 35 Months & Pregnant Women

Before you visit our clinics, remember...
• You cannot receive a flu shot if you have ever had a severe allergic to the flu shot, eggs, egg/chicken products, Thimerosal or latex products, if you currently have a fever or respiratory illness, if you have ever had Guillain-Barre’ Syndrome or if you currently have an active, uncontrolled neurological disease.
• All children 17 years & under must be accompanied by a parent or grandparent.
• Wear a short sleeve shirt on the day of the shot.
• For less waiting, visit our clinics after 11 a.m.
• Children age 8 years & under receiving a flu vaccine for the 1st time will need a 2nd flu vaccine 30 days after the 1st. |
